In August, ABA staff attended the LA Taco Fest, hosted by our partner Jovenes Inc. Joined by our friends at Barrio Action & Youth Family Center, we provided attendees of the festival with reduced or zero sugar beverages.
In October, ABA's own Barbara Hiden was honored at the Women in Advocacy Awards.
Later that month, the Florida Beverage Association received the 2018 Sustainability Partnership Game Changer Award from the National Waste and Recycling Association.
We celebrated America Recycles Day in November. America's beverage companies maintained their strong commitment to recycling and sustainability this year.
At the end of the year, ABA's staff volunteered with Washington Parks and People, a non-profit that creates sustainable community green spaces throughout Washington D.C.
