Sen. Schumer's Reaction to NY Soft Drink Tax Proposal

Sen. Soda Critics Continue to Push the Notion of a Soda Tax on FOX News Channel

Recently, the usual group of advocates for a tax on soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages pushed out their latest papers supporting their cause. But the beverage industry continues to get the full story out — with common sense, science and real-world data on its side. In fact, ABA President & CEO Susan Neely recently appeared on Fox News Channel's "FOX & Friends", where she debated Kelly Brownell of the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity. MSNBC’s “Dr. Nancy” recently included a segment on the proposed soda tax.  Debating the issue were Dr. Elizabeth Whelan of the American Council on Science and Health and Kelly Brownell of the Yale Center for Food Policy and Obesity.

CNBC's "Power Grid" Weighs In on Soda Tax

Joining other national media outlets, CNBC’s “Power Grid” recently devoted air time to topic of a proposed soda tax.  Chiming in on the issue:  Julian Epstein, democratic strategist and former chief minority counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, and J.D.
