You might be as relieved as us to hear that the NFL lockout has ended. After four and a half months, an agreement was reached last week.
With pre-season just around the corner, we thought we’d highlight a great program sponsored by the NFL and the American Heart Association. NFL Play 60 Challenge is all about encouraging youth to be active for at least 60 minutes a day. The program’s website has places for kids to pledge activity, and is a great resource for teachers and parents, too. There’s even a map that helps you find the nearest playground.
As our favorite players are getting back on the field, we continue to spread the word that everyone should remember to get out and get active. With resources and information from programs like Play 60, it’s easier than ever to come up with clever ideas for you and your family on how to be active.
