Bottled Water

Bottled Water Consumption

Americans are drinking bottled water at unprecedented levels. Bottled water was considered a novelty or even a luxury only a generation ago, but is now an intrinsic part of the nation’s beverage consumption patterns.

Water is Essential to Good Health

The human body is estimated to be between 60 to 70 percent water. It helps to transport oxygen to our cells, regulate our body temperature, remove waste and move nutrients throughout our bodies, just to name a few.

So to work properly, our bodies need water and we get it from the many foods and beverages we consume.

The Beverage Industry Provides Health Benefits and Portability

Products made by our industry include bottled waters, flavored waters, mineral waters and fitness waters. While all of these products are convenient due to their portability, each also serves an important purpose – hydration. In addition, some of these products provide other health benefits through vitamins and minerals.
