The American Beverage Association

American Beverage Association's members manufacture and distribute more than 95 percent of all non-alcoholic beverage products produced in the U.S. The refreshment beverage industry is a big part of the U.S. economy, buying products and services from many different industries, creating thousands of jobs and contributing to worthwhile causes in local communities.

Through member support, ABA serves as an effective organization of producers, franchise companies and suppliers, and acts as a strong national voice for the refreshment beverage industry.

ABA membership consists of franchise companies, bottling plants, canning facilities, distribution/sales centers and companies that manufacture and sell a full range of products, including packaging, machinery, equipment, ingredients and other services to the industry.

Membership Categories

Active Membership -- Available to any person or firm in the United States or its possessions engaged in the manufacture and marketing of non-alcoholic refreshment beverages. It may include all production, distribution or other facilities related to manufacturing and marketing of beverages that are controlled by that person or firm. Annual dues are based on sales.

Associate Membership -- Available to any person or firm that manufactures or sells any product to, or performs any service for, any person or firm that meets the definition of an Active member. Annual dues are based on sales.  ABA Associate Member Program (PDF file)

International Affiliate Membership -- Available to any person or firm engaged in the manufacture and sale of refreshment beverages that is not located in the United States or its possessions. Annual dues: $300 (U.S. dollars)
